Darkest Black Pen Liner - Super Fine by Diana of London - Review

Friends of mine who follow my discussions on StyleCraze would be aware that I was looking out for a long lasting kohl that would not smudge on the water line despite my habit of rubbing my eyes. I had shortlisted a couple of them based on the suggestions given by everyone when I received this liner from Diana of London.
The liner itself is not really a kohl but as the name says it’s a liner and a pen liner. I have never used pen liners before and was very glad to try this out.

What the company claims “Diana super fine intense rich black eyeliner, waterproof & quick drying, Easy to handle with ultimate control & accuracy, High-tech & innovate ultra fine tip ensures an even and precise application

First I really like the quality of this liner. It is black with a slightly thinner circumference at the place where you would hold it to apply it on your eyes. You can see that better in the next picture.
The applicator is like a sketch pen only with a longer and thicker tip. So if you are used to sketch pens using this liner would be a piece of cake for you!

Look at the tip of the pen – this tip is very soft to touch.

The liner is highly pigmented and a single stroke is good on the eyes. I have used this in one of my eye make looks that you can check out HERE. I applied it on top of eye shadow and there was no tugging or pulling on the eye lid. I have also used this alone on my eyes and it works fabulously.

Diana of London Super Fine Intense Rich Black Liner - swatch
You can see the swatches above, the left side swatch is a single stroke while the right side is a double stroke. As you can see the single stroke itself is dark enough. This is also a great product for doing winged eyes as you get precise application where needed.

Now coming to how it fares on my eyes. First the texture of the pen tip is very smooth and soft making the application very easy. While the liner is still wet you can smudge it as well to give a smoky effect if you wish. But it dries up fast and once it dries it stays put and won’t come off easily (not even with water and soap). You need a nice makeup remover to get rid of it completely. (I use almond oil to remove it from my eyes as I feel its safer than any makeup remover)

This can be applied to the water line and it stays for quite a long time. I used it for over 4 hours and it did not budge. I use lenses and I did not feel any discomfort with the liner at all.
I am currently loving this liner!
