Little miss perfect - Faces Silken Finish Pressed Powder Review

Well you wonder why I call this post Little miss perfect - you see the product I am going to review today is like those vanity items which you carry all around with you to make sure you always look your best!

Faces silken finish pressed powder is a handy little thing that comes in a nice gunmetal black packaging.

What the company claims "FACES Silken Finish Pressed Powder is a light weight powder based pressed powder that evens out facial skin tone without clogging pores. It blends with the skin tone giving a radiant silken smooth finish which lasts long and minimizes skin imperfections. It is ideal for medium to heavy coverage on sensitive skin"

The applicator puff is inside the compact case and is quite thin as compared to the one that comes with E.L.F. face compact (check its review HERE ). But I found it easy to use and it picked up just enough product at a time.

The texture of this compact is very silky. Aptly so because it is part of their Silk range of products.

This pressed powder comes in five shades. The shade that I have is called Natural.

It suits my skin tone very well. I use a kabuki brush to apply it and blend it well on my face and use the supplied applicator only for touch ups. As you can see in the picture below after blending the powder is a perfect match for my skin tone.

Faces silken finish pressed powder did not cause any breakouts but in this current humid temperature it does not last long if I'm outside but otherwise in an air conditioned office it stays put for almost 3-4  hours very easily.

It did not help with my large pores but did help cover small imperfections. The only issue I face with pressed powders (and I faced with this one too) is that they make your facial hair stand out unless you sort of comb the facial hair downwards while applying the pressed powder.

Overall I think this is a good to have product in your purse for daily use. The finish is something I'm liking a lot - very smooth and silky!
