Here are the steps to hide the strands easily and effectively. All you need is an almost dried out mascara. You can use a new mascara as well but that would actually give too much product and you don’t want your newly coated hair strands to stick out with all that product.

Comb and tie your hair as you want – your final hairstyle so that you know which hair strands are going to peek through. Next take the mascara wand and gently coat the hair strands that are sticking through. If possible take out the single strand and run the mascara wand on it from root to tip. Sometimes the hairstyle will not allow you to pull out the strand to be coated individually – in such a case gently run your mascara wand over the grays – make sure your wand does not have too much product on it otherwise you might leave a dry colored patch of hair on your head.
