Beige post is a gorgeous peachy shade. Just the kind you would love to wear to work or a casual stroll during the day. It has a hint of glitter in it - the glitter particles are not gritty but are noticeable. Now this is where the good things end.

To start off - Beige Post does not stay on my lips for more than an hour with a cup of tea in between. All that I am left with is tiny glitter on my lips which looks horrible. I think other shades in this range have worked for some girls.

If your lips are not well moisturized the color goes on streaky if you apply straight from the stick. Overall this is a complete disappointment. But I did try and make this work for me. For the lips I apply a lip balm underneath, apply this on top and then blot off with a tissue. Then I reapply the lipstick in a dotting manner instead of swiping it across the lips. This helps the color go on streak free. But since the glitter soon starts showing off and the color sort of vanishes I have decided to stop using it as a lipstick. Instead I use my fingers to gently apply this as an eye shadow or blush. The color looks gorgeous on the cheeks and eyes. Very gentle with a hint of shimmer.

The color used in the Lakme 9 to 5 commercial on TV is Beige Post and is also given in the make-up breakdown on the lakme website HERE

I do want to try some other shades from this range - maybe pink slip or tea break - but this one is going into my eye makeup stash. Do share your own experience with lipsticks from this range.

  1. Oh ty so much for this review u saved my bucks. I m lover of long wearing lipsticks n only one worked for me is maybeline 24 hrs but it so drying, I hope u get some better shades . In my opinion dark shades are perfect longwears but can't use casually :(

    1. yeah this one is a bummer, such a lovely shade I wish it had worked.
even in the maybelline 14hr range i have dark shades and they do stay long - to overcome the dryness use a lip balm underneath, wait for a minute then apply your lipstick - then blot it with tissue paper gently and reapply lipstick -that ways it will stay longer and feel less drying

    1. its not really sheer - my lips are very pigmented and this does cover the pigmentation - its just that it won't stay put - one cup of tea and its gone!
