Now to get to the How-To

First lets take a look at what all you need.
1. Any two colored polishes
2. A dotting tool or a toothpick

Start by painting one nail in the base color. I used a purple nail paint. Then while it is still wet apply the second nail color on the tips of the nails - this you can extend a little further till the center of the nail and you will get slightly different results depending on how far down the nail you have used the second nail color.

Now while both the polishes are still wet, gently stroke the color from the tip down towards the nail bed using the nail tool or toothpick. I used gentle vertical strokes to create this look. You can move the toothpick in any direction and you will get different looks on your nails.

I love how the silver dazzles a simple nail art. This is a very easy nail art technique and can be modified to get various effects. You can also use more than two polishes to create varied effects.
